<\/p>\nInnovative Blast Technologies (IBT), originally known as Always Dependable Service Inc. (ADS), has a rich history in the shot blasting industry.<\/p>\n
In December 1994, Always Dependable Service Inc. (ADS) was established in Ontario, Canada, focusing on distributing, manufacturing, and on-site rebuilding of components for air and airless shot blast equipment. By 1997, recognizing the growing demand across North America, ADS expanded by launching its New & Used Equipment Division. To support this growth, in 2003, ADS acquired a 38,000 sq. ft. facility at 340 Hatt Street, Dundas, Ontario, equipped with three ten-ton cranes and a 28 ft. clearance under the hook, enhancing its capacity to service and assemble larger equipment.<\/p>\n
In June 2008, ADS further expanded by acquiring Peen & Clean\u00ae, a contract peening and cleaning company with over 30+ years of experience located in Burlington, Ontario.\u00a0 This acquisition allowed ADS to offer a broader range of surface preparation services.<\/p>\n
By 2010, ADS underwent a massive corporate restructure and rebranded as Innovative Blast Technologies (IBT), positioning itself as a global competitor in the surface preparation market with 50 employees and representation in the USA, China, and Mexico. Operating out of a 100,000 sq. ft. facility with a 40-ton lifting capacity and 38 ft. clearance below the crane hooks, IBT was well-equipped to build, assemble, and test all equipment in-house.<\/p>\n
In July 2018, after a decade of growth, Peen & Clean\u00ae was sold to Latem Industries Limited, enhancing Latem\u2019s metal finishing capabilities.\u00a0 In August 2018, IBT purchased a facility at 435 Elgin Street in Brantford, Ontario, downsizing and aiming to educate\/train skilled workers in collaboration with educational institutions.<\/p>\n
By 2022, IBT sold its Brantford building to focus on engineering and specialized services within the surface preparation niche market.\u00a0 In March 2023, IBT established a satellite office at 32 Tamara Place in Brantford, Ontario, continuing its commitment to engineering equipment and parts.<\/p>\n
As of 2025, IBT is poised to adapt to industry improvements, with further developments to be announced.<\/p>\n
